The Deck Bar at The New Southport Hall
has been called by the local media, "…One of the
best new outside spots in town to catch New Orleans Music!" in
several different publications. The Deck Bar faces
the historic River Road that links New Orleans Parish
and
Jefferson Parish. With hot local live music on Friday
and Saturday
nights, the Deck Bar is a destination for many locals
and tourists alike. During fall time, weekly antique
car shows
and bike nights (every Wednesday) fill the Deck Bar
and parking lot with sights and sounds of yesteryear
as hundreds
of hot-roders come to show off their rides. The spring
is famous for the Deck Bar crawfish boils and evening
concerts!
Traveling inside the Deck Bar, one will find
a plethora
of photographs depicting Southport Hall over the near-century
of operation! Many come inside to play pool
or sit at the bar and enjoy the game as Southport Hall features NFL Gameday
Ticket as well as many other sports packages on the
weekends.
The Deck Bar at The New Southport Hall truly
captures the essence of New Orleans culture and continues
to
grow as a popular weekly destination!

The Concert Hall is the pride and joy of The New Southport
Hall. Week after week, artists from all around the
country perform inside the famous Southport Hall. The
fifty-foot
stage has held such famous acts as Percy Sledge, Marcia
Ball, Little Feat, Zebra, and countless other national
and local performers over the past year. The solid
spruce bar is a beautiful addition against the natural
wood floors
found inside The Concert Hall.
The Concert Hall can
be set up in a theater format with over thirty rows
of chairs to allow a club show environment for concerts,
comedy shows, dinner performances,
beauty contests, and public address speakers for conventions. The Concert
Hall can also be showcased as a dance hall providing
the LARGEST dance floor in the
New Orleans area! Many locals love to come hear their favorite party bands
inside the Concert Hall and dance the night away under
the giant disco ball! Inside The Concert Hall is the
Southport Hall Kitchen! Opened all week for lunch and
dinner, the Southport
Hall kitchen is famous for it's Tuesday Night Steak
Night when many come for a thick steak with all the trimmings for just
ten dollars!
During all Concert Hall performances, the kitchen serves up classic New
Orleans favorites like Crawfish Etouffee, Roast Beef
Po-Boys, and the famous Southport
Jambalaya! On-sight catering from the kitchen also makes Southport Hall
the PERFECT place to entertain during convention season.
The Concert Hall emanates a fun club atmosphere while
holding true to its classic New Orleans heritage
as a historic landmark!
