There are your elegant over the top Wedding Receptions and then there are your Southport Wedding Receptions. Please by no means get us wrong, Southport can be an elegant setting, but for the most part a Southport Reception is all about the wedding couple and guest getting the most out of the experience. We cannot dazzle you with marble floors, fancy dinnerware and the ambiance of the location. From what you have read so far, I'm sure you have come to the conclusion that we are not trying to fool anyone. Southport Hall is a live music venue, operating out of a turn of the century gambling casino. Here's what Southport is all about. Our service is first class, however our staff will never be caught dead in a tuxedo, we dress appropriately, but once again we are not pretending to be anything more than what we already are. The package prices at Southport are unbeatable.

Our 3 package deals all come with premium alcohol, bottled beers, wine, daiquiri's and champagne. Along with food choices off our New Orleans style catering menu that run continuously throughout the reception. At Southport there are no ridiculous rental fees tacked on to your price per head just for stepping foot in the door the night of the reception. All of our linens, table skirts and votive candles all come free of charge, they once again are not tacked on to your price per head. We have no desire for our customers to have too hear the words everything is all inclusive, but it's gonna cost you. If you decide on having a band for the event, then guess what? The use of our concert style sound system and light show come free of charge. If you want a concert type appeal or a toned down show we can give it to you on our end. If you need help getting in contact with a band, we can help you with that as well. All receptions have the option of using the deck bar (see private party page for details) to give the reception a change of pace. It can be used as a nice way of getting away from the madness and music for those people who just want to relax, enjoy a cocktail and chat with family and friends. At Southport you have free reign into the set up for the event. Whether you want a free flowing reception or a more intimate vibe, we are here to insure that it is all done perfectly for you.

Like we tell everyone who has a reception here, all we can do is provide great food, a never ending bar, and show type presence with our stage during your time here at Southport. The rest is up to your guest to embrace it and have a wonderful time. We promise you what Southport lacks in curb appeal it makes up for it with everything else that we provide.
